NBOC East Coast Rally – Ramsgate

Wednesday 23rd – Sunday 27th June 2027

The adventure continues!

Following the NBOC Summer Rally at Bembridge, the South Coast boats joining the Going East Rally, will set off for Ramsgate on Sunday 20th June, travelling in company via Eastbourne. We are allowing three days for the journey to Ramsgate, with the flotilla expected to arrive on Tuesday 22nd or Wednesday 23rd June. This gives us some flexibility to allow for adverse weather conditions along the way.

Once in Ramsgate, the East Coast Rally officially begins. We'll be joined by our East Coast NBOC members, together with any Dutch NBOC boats making the crossing from Holland.

A week of boating, history and NBOC camaraderie

Ramsgate and the surrounding area provide a fantastic base for exploring the Kent coast and its fascinating maritime and military history. The programme will include visits to local historical places of interest, as well as some of the much-loved NBOC social events that make our rallies so enjoyable.

Planned highlights include:

Pot Luck Pontoon Dinner:

Bring a dish, share the food and enjoy an evening together on the pontoon.

Safari Supper:

An NBOC East Coast favourite, with members moving between different boats for the various courses. A great way to see how fellow members live aboard and, of course, enjoy some excellent food and company!

Semi-Formal Dinner:

The social highlight of the East Coast Rally and an opportunity to get dressed up and enjoy a special evening together.

There will also be plenty of time to explore ashore, relax, enjoy the marina and simply spend time with fellow NBOC members.

And then… where next?

Sunday 27th June marks the official end of the East Coast Rally, but that doesn't necessarily mean the end of the cruise. Some boats will continue on for an extended East Coast cruise in company, while others may choose to head back towards their home ports. The choice is yours.

The Ramsgate and East Coast cruise will be organised and coordinated by James Gilbert, who will be happy to answer any questions via the General NBOC WhatsApp Group.

Full details of the programme and all events will be available in January 2027, when members will also be able to book and purchase tickets.
